Hi All,
can anyone reccomend a TV tuner card? I am trying to build a digital media center myself, and would like to know what types of TV tuner cards are supported by linux. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know.
Regards,
Stephen.

Try this thread:

The list grows with each new kernel release, but it should give you a pretty good idea.
Generally, most major TV Tuner and several HDTV cards are supported.
Configuring can range from plug'n'play to headache'all'day. The key is to determine which *chipset* the card uses, then do a Google or forum search on the same card or chipset to see if its easy to set up.
Another method is to use the same card that the howto writers are using.
The site: http://wilsonet.com/mythtv/ has detailed instructions for setting up a home entertainment PC using Fedora and two TV tuners.

I have a WinTV PVR 350 (http://www.hauppauge.com/pages/products/data_pvr350.html) from Hauppauge (http://www.hauppauge.com/) and it works perfectly once you install and configure the IVTV drivers (http://ivtvdriver.org/). The only downside to the card is that it outputs video in mpeg format, so TVTime and Zapping won't work with it, but MythTV does.
