I have a soundblaster audigy2 that I would like to use but when I plug it into the side I get hung on startup... It is recommended that you disable other sound cards. I tried to do this in bios but it would not let me change those options..

You can disable the card in the bios, if you know how to access it.

Disabling the sound is not available in bios of my pc. (dell 600m ) On the screen that list all the devices processor, sys memory, video controller, video mem, sound controller ect, you can only change the date and time......the other screens are battery configuration, boot order ect.

There may be a jumper on the motherboard to disable the sound. If not, you should contact Dell.
