I have the Lexmark P6250 printer as a shared printer on a Windows 2003 server (yes, I know I just swore...I'm in the process of migrating over to linux!!). I'd like to run it from Fedora but can't find any drivers for it. Can anyone help please??

i was wondering if there was any resoultion to your problem. i recently received this printer and am making no headway in fc6. i only want to use the scanner feature. should i add i am averse to jumping to the m$ side?

My sister recently moved over to Linux (Ubuntu) and we had trouble getting her Lexmark printer to work. It turns out that except for some of the older models there aren't Linux drivers and probably won't be because Lexmark refuses either to support Linux or make the specifications available to others. Sorry.

thanks for the quick comeback - that pretty much seals the coffin. while this thing has bells and whistles, it's missing one feature: the ability to strip all the crap. if it would simply scan the image and appear as a storage device, i could take it from there. guess simplicity doesn't sell.
