Why not phpBB?

Hi,

I'm now downloading FC4 and tomorow I will make backup and switch to Fedora from Gentoo, but I want to know, why this Opensource comunity uses board closed source and need pay for it? why not phpBB, I think this is wrong, phpBB is great at all. And it will be cool to switch to phpBB (for my opinion).

phpBB sucks, it is a horrible product, and the development of it is very very very slow (they have been "releasing" phpBB 3.0 for probably over a year now).

VBulletin is powerful and got features more than phpbb2.
