I am looking to test the new FC, but I'd really like one DVD ISO as opposed to 5 cds! Other stable releases have been done this way, but I can't seem to find a FC5 T1 DVD ISO anywhere.

I like DVD: it is more convenient and it installs faster (can't beat a 22MB/s transfer rate!). Any idea where I could find such a file, or if they are working on one before the stable release?

Thanks in advance!

You've answered your own question. Unless it's a stable release they woun't waste time on it. to make it convinient just burn the first disk and put the other images on a partition that linux can read off(ie FAT32. EXT2) and choose the apropriate install method.

As mentioned before the current status of Fedora Core 5 is Test 1, meaning not a stable production release. Either you will need to wait for the final release, get FC4 DVD ISO instead, or install FC5 using the CD's...

I have a problem with that... When I FC4 first came out? I downloaded the DVD iso and had some problems with it during installation. Downloaded the CD isos after that and didn't but I needed to use the CD-RW for something else. So IMHO it would be wise to come out with a DVD iso as well to be tested...

As stated within the Fedora Core test 1 announcement DVD ISO's were not produced for this release since the Anaconda Fedora Installer is undergoing a major change to use a yum backend.

Subsequent test releases will have DVD ISO images available. Kindly read announcements and release notes for note worthy changes before your queries

The standard installation here only asked for CD 1 & 2.
