I just bought a new computer, Athlon FX51 with Dual WD Raptor RAID combo, when i start fedora installer it just stop init before GUI installation.
I turned of hardware probe, no luck too. any help?

also if anyone can help me with Redhat ES Workstation 3, same problem :(

Where exactly does it stop and are there any errors displayed?
Have you tried "linux text noprobe"?
Is your BIOS set to enhanced mode? Try changing it to basic mode or vice versa.
For RHWS, I would make good use of the customer support. ;)

Other boot parameters you could try are "allowcddma" (if you're installing from a CD) and "ide=nodma".
There's also the "linux rescue"installation type you could try if you know which modules to manually load.

I would try a copy of Knoppix CD (http://www.knopper.net/knoppix/index-en.html) just to check that it finds everything correctly. Then you start with Fedora.

i finally got it to work, i created a redhat installation boot disk with the rebuild disk image that i patch with Jeff Garzik's libata driver.
for those who have the same problem you can find the patch here
http://gkernel.bkbits.net/
The one i use was libata-2.4

Which disk image would that be then? Initrd-blah-version.img ??
