Orinoco Gold

I just installed Fedora Core 4 on my Dell Inspiron 7000 Notebook. I am using an orinoco gold pcmcia card. The operating system is aware of this device and it assigns to it the correct driver orinoco_cs. The problem is that the network utility shows the device as being an ethernet card instead of a wireless card. Consequently I cannot activate the device because it says that the device does not seem to be present.
