Hello everyone!

I was wondering if anyone could help me with setting the DVI port as the default? Everytime I plug in a VGA monitor, it automatically assumes default and puts the DVI monitor as secondary even though I've always used the DVI port and rarely use the VGA port. But now, I occasionally plug in my LCD TV to my VGA port so I can watch a movie from my tv, while type up stuff on my monitor connected to the DVI port.

Anyone know how I can do this? I've tried searching everywhere, but doesn't seem like anyone else has tried to do this?

Thanks for replying, but it doesn't look like there's anything there to set it.

Any other ideas?

strange.... on my 3 nvidia cards i am using only the DVI ports and I didnt have to do anything to get the DVI port to work as default, in fact the card will use either port as default it seems to detect which port my monitor is plugged into and uses that port.

oh yeah... if I connect a monitor only to one or the other port, it'll work as default. But when I connect both of them, VGA will always take over as default. I tried a few ways to switch orientation of screen 1 and screen 0, but VGA will always be default, so my desktop ends up looking really odd.

I noticed that it could be the nvidia drivers doing the switch because when I'm booting, the fedora splash screen will be on the DVI monitor and a red colored screen on the VGA monitor, but then with the log on screen, it'll appear on the VGA screen with the extra screen being on the DVI side.

any ideas?
