Hi,

I've been trying to install FC4 but haven't made it very far through the installer. It detects the sata drive and tries to install the 'sata_sil' driver, but then hangs on 'Disabling IRQ #11' and refuses to go any further.

Its definitely the right driver, and ive had fedora core 2 installed once before.

I've tried disabling the ACPI, and loading the following options as suggested on another forum:

"noapic"
"acpi=off"
"acpi=noirq"
"pci=routeirq"

Ive run out of things to try now - any ideas?

Many Thanks

Tried that multescugeorge and still no luck.

The installer continues if I select nvidia sata drivers but ofcourse disk druid has problems and doesnt see the hard disks.
