So, I've been having a problem with my nic card on a dell inspiron 3500. I had an error initializing eth0, but I fixed it by changing the order that pcmcia is initialized during run level. Now, when I log in, my nic will not start until i pop the card out, then put it back in again. I don't understand why this makes a difference. I've tried multiple fixes, but none are working, including the known conflict with kudzu. Any ideas? Thanks to anyone for help in advance

I had the same problem on my inspiron, so i followed the link given by feenix, it helps somewhat, it now has my system booting pcmcia first before my network and it seems to have fixed the problem there, but for some strange reason i still have to eject my network card and re-activate my network through neat or rh-network-config.Just to let you know this problem has plagued me through two network cards and 2 2.4 kerneled systems, so it's not a Fedora specific problem.Any help would be much appreciated,Thanks in advance.............
