Hi!

I think my problem is a bit different from all the others 'no sound' problems. I read all the posts here about it but can't find a solution. I already tried using Kmixer(but i don't have it) so i used alsamixer and set all values to 100 except de mic. but still not sound. Now everytime i log in an alert message appears and when i run the gnome-volume-control command it also appears. It says: ERROR: Registry is not present or it is corrupted, please update it running gst-register
This seemed easy, but when i run gst-register:

[a2ms@localhost ~]$ gst-register
bash: gst-register: command not found

So i don't know what to do.

BTW i'm using:
[a2ms@localhost ~]$ uname -a
Linux localhost.localdomain 2.6.13-1.1532_FC4 #1 Thu Oct 20 01:30:08 EDT 2005 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

if you need something else please tell me, and i hope this can be solved.
Also i don't know if it has to do but i intslled amaroK but it doesn't matter what engine i chose (Helix, arts or GStreamer) it says it can't work. :(

0K, I do have sound now, the problem was that i didn't knoe how to use alsamixer now it is fixed. BUT ALL THE OTHER PROBLEMS STILL CONTINUE!!! ERROR MESSAGES STILL APPEARS. When i log in the error that appears says:
"No volume control elements and/or devices found " I know now i can control de volume, but it is annoying to receive this message.
