lexmark z605 printer

As a linux newbie and had fc4 installed,I found that my lexmark printer z605 not
support out-of-the-box.
I downloaded the driver CJLZ600LE-Cups-1.0-1.tar and unpacked to home
directory.Login as root,and sh the .gz.sh file,driver installed.But i could not
get the model in the cups list when i restart new printer installation.
I also followed the Wikki how-to on z605 printer installation,get suck too.
Please help.

I had a lexmark I dump because the linux driver would not work. They claim it does but it did not for me. I know most cannons and hp are supported. I now use hp printer.
