Hi everyone I just downloaded fedora and when I go to install the system started haning up after detecting usb so I added the option nousb then I could get as far as where it does the parport and then it would hang so I added the option noparport and still no joy

Hi,

Did you check the md5sum of your install discs? Wipe your hdd clear so there is only free space.
What hardware do you have, and last but not least the system is icecold (not even numlock can be toggled) when it hangs?

The md5 sum is good... I am dumb not stupid :p I didn't wipe the hard drive, I just figured that fedora had something built in, that would do that for me :(

I have a p3 1.7 40 gb wd drive wireless linksys adapter, nvidia 128 mb video card usb mouse that is all I can think of off the top of my head... thanks for the help

uhm.... my computer is now telling me its name is bannana -- it prints to the screen I am bannana, and you will serve me

I am no genius, but that isn't normal is it?

I went ahead and did the nousb option, but it still hangs after parport:0 and noparport doesn't do any good.
