i just put on FC4 in a dual-boot with winxp. i'm on the winxp half, under which my 3com 802.11g wireless turbo pci adapter works perfectly.
this very same card has worked in redhat9, but for some reason FC4 will not recognize its existance. it's driving me insane.
there is NO eth0 in /dev
if there are any outputs you might need to see to help understand the situation, please, let me know.
any helpwould be GREATLY appreciated!

there are no devices listed as "active in this profile".
like i said, there is no eth0 in my /dev folder.
the power light is no on on my wireless card.
basically, FC4 doesn't know its there!

as i said, i have a US Robotics USR5416 802.11g Wireless Turbo PCI Adapter
but, i get this with lspci
#[root@localhost] lspci 00:09.0 Network Controller : Texas Instruments ACX 111 54mbps Wireless Interface
#[root@localhost] lspci -n 00:09.0 Class 0280 : 104c : 9066
i guess ACX 111 is my chipset or something?

I had somthing similer happend when I installed FC 3. For the live of me I could not get this damn think on the net. Also I would set my Network card, it would ask me to reboot I would and it would not save my setting and it would show me the same thing eth0.
After I set it, I unpluged the cable to my netcard, plugged it back in, did a reboot and was able to get back on the net. I don't know why you have to do this but even at work same thing had to be done.
Hope this helps you.

I am attempting to get an ACX 111 card working. I have been to House-of-Craig, but have been unable to accomplish one of the first steps, downloading the source code. I have been to the sourceforge page and all the download sites are not available. I have tried googling for the package, and most of those are unavailable. Does anyone have the source available that they have had success with?

I had one of the same Ihad to identify as eth1 to get it to work because eth0 isusually an internal standard network card and one of the first things identified by HW detection as eth0....

I'm the writer of the http://linox.be/wiki/index.php?n=Wifi.ACX100WifiHowto
It works with my D-Link DWL-G520+ WiFi card, which has a ACX111 chipset. If it works with other WiFi cards, I'd like to know it, or add it in my wiki ;)
