View Full Version : Getting Internet to work

I have just installed Fedora Core 4 in dual boot mode. All works fine except I cannot connect to the Web.

Prior to the install i was using windows xp on two machines. The one downstairs is connected to the internet directly via a cable modem, and this one upstairs is using the machine downstairs via Packard Bell net2plug powerline adapters.

Is it possible to use this set up within Fedora and still connect to the Internet? If so how? Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Regards, Ken.

This net2plug thing is a USB network device that plugs into the power outlet?

There doesn't seem to be drivers for anything other than Windows for the USB models. (http://forum.packardbell.com/en/viewtopic.php?p=128504) Ethernet would be easier.
