I recently bought a US Robitics 56k Performance Pro Hardware modem, works in Linux but it's EXTREMELY slow. I was running 56k through a laptop and it went fine, this modem works great in windows. So my best guess is the configuration or something for this 56k modem in FC3. Help.
I'm using the network devices thing in FC3 to use it, if that's the problem.. what should I use besides that?
If KPPP... what package do I install to get that? I have nothing Kde on my system right now.

Hi there... I've got the same problem.... and i'm using a really old 56k modem that works great in windows but is as slow as about 1k/sec in Fedora Core 4???? I don't get it... as i've got the speed up to max in the connection wizard.... Sorry that i don't have a solution... but i can tell you it's not the hardware....
