i am having the damnedest time downloading/burning the install discs for FC4. i have downloaded the .iso images from the fedora site and burned them to cd using nero, but they won't pass the media check. i have tried downloading them through mirror sites and bittorent but i still can't most of the disks to pass the media check. some disks (downloaded from mirror site) are even identified as disks 6 or 7 when their file names coresoponded to discks 1 and 2. am i doing something wrong?

check the iso's with sha1sum if they are ok, install them from the h/d, read this link (http://shamsweb.50webs.com) .

With Nero make sure you turn off multisession and/or close the cd. On WinXP I made 8 or 10 drink coasters of Fedora cd's before I discovered this. The default nero settings make cd's that fail the fedora media check. I didn't have to re-download the iso's, just burn them properly.

The mediacheck faililng is a known bug (http://fedora.redhat.com/docs/release-notes/fc4/#id2501928); try the boot command
linux ide=nodma
