FC3 startup speed tweaks, are there any?

I'm trying to speed up my start up, I already went through the services, so I have that covered....
Main thing that takes up time is udev sittin there for a while before it says "network, storage....ect"
and then after the loading bar gets done it sits there n flickers a bit to get to the logon, i with it would go straight there......and loging in....loading **** takes soo long....i mean come on....

okay, i got it working....but now i get this:

1. why do you use old kernel if you want speed up?
2. get kernel source and compil it i686 (if you use p4) it will be 3x faster

what are you talking about?.... im on an athlon 64 3500+ at 2.6....no way in hell a p4 would beat that (logical equalities) buy yeah..... is there a simple way to juss get this early login thing working?.....can u just give me simple instructions and not these stupid links that make everything all complicated?

but install your kernel yourself, it will be a lot of time faster than yum or rpm
