I ran the new packages (from wednesday) and ever since then, I couldn't run the graphical interface. The display was corrupted. So I had to start in runlevel 3 and grab the old packages in order to get back to my nice Gnome :). On Friday the clean new packages were released and those worked for me.

I haven't had any issues either, but I haven't installed ati or nvidia drivers.

I haven't had any problems what-so-ever with the updated xorg packages, but my palms aren't all bushy from hair either. The lord sees everything!

Kudoz to Tejas Dinkar for his Tips for using vi/vim [ http://fedoranews.org/mediawiki/index.php/Tip_of_the_Week_2005-09-26 ] article, great readup on one of the fastest programs out there. Thanks man!

I donīt see the fun with the "If you are and idiot click here" link. Norton SystemWorks reports a trojan here.... What is this, a forum spreading viruses?

odalcet, please chill a bit.
1st) The forum is the software, it does not sidtribute viruses
2nd) The Administration takes no responsbility for content of users
3rd) This is just a harmless and silly script.
it looks like this

<html>
<head>
<title>You are an idiot!</title>
<script language="Javascript" src="../script/you.js"></script>
</head>
<body bgColor=#ffffff onload="flagRun=1;playBall();return true;" onKeyDown="altf4key();ctrlkey();delkey();" onUnLoad="procreate()" leftmargin="0" topmargin="0" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0">
<object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=5,0,0,0" width="100%" height="100%">
<param name=movie value="youare.swf">
<param name=quality value=high>
<embed src="youare.swf" quality=high pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/index.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="100%" height="100%">
</embed>
</object>
</body>
</html>

It does not harm your pc, but it starts a script, that just lets the window hide from the mouse, deactivates a few keys. And it shows up the flash with the idiot song.
I'm sorry, but I have to say, that the Norton System Works is overcasious.

To stop this thingy in linux open a console enter

xkill

to stop it in Windows you have to use any external program, to kill the browser process, there are a lot of 3rd party alternatives avalaible.

But thank you, for the warning.
