Greetings!
After I boot from FC2-test1 first CD and pass the CD test phase, a blue screen shows up reading "install exited abnormally -- received signal 11" and it shuts down.
Any ideas?...
Thanks.

if you've got PCMCIA card inside,
take it out and try again.

It worked! I'm currently on installation CD2, crossing my fingers no more problems will arise... ;)
Tanks a lot, feenixx! :)

:?: What PCMCIA card was this, by the way?

It was an ethernet adapter, a Planet ENW-3500F (FC calls it 'DLink'). I installed FC2-test1 without it, plugged it in after rebooting, configured the network service and everything is working fine now.

Dude you're in for a dissappointment.
FC2T1 is interesting to have a look at but has far too many bugs to be of any use.
Unless you want to just be bug contributor/tester I suggest you wait for something a little more <ahem> mature...

Thanks for the warning, but I already knew that. I work with FC1 every day. I just wanted to take a look at the newer versions of some applications, see where this FC thing is headed to... Specially Gnome, and feel the 2.6 kernel... And I found it very interesting! :)

Cool, enjoy !
:D
I tried it on a relatively high end PC (P4 3Ghz, 512Mb RDRAM, ATA100 HDD) and did not see any dramatic speed increases claimed for the 2.6 Kernel & KDE 3.2. But hey I will happy to receive them if they come!
What say you?

I've been trying it on an "old" PII/400 laptop that previously had Mandrake 9.2. I also didn't notice any special speed increase - if any at all -, but I liked the new versions of some programs, like the changes in Gnome, Gedit, KDE, and a lot more... I'm still playing with it... :)
Still, this is just a "test-1" release... I'm confident the newer releases to come will bring a lot of nice news. ;)
