I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop with built-in intel sound card. I have a problem with using it in a 2.6.12.5 kernel that I compiled myself. When I run modprobe snd-intel8x0, I get fatal error: module not found. I tried modprobe irq=11 io=ex100 with no result. I also have a problem with modprobe'ing the usb sound card. Here are the relevant(what I think is relevant) lines of dmesg message and lspci output. I think the problem is due to these lines:
