Hi folks.
I'd like to announce that the good folks over at FedoraNews have added an introduction of our growing web-based community here at Fedora Forum to their weekly/bi-weekly newsletter. :)
Check out the announcement:
http://fedoranews.org/colin/fnu/issue6.shtml
Let's hope it sparks a surge in memberships to continue on our goals of creating a solid web based Fedora community support haven.

I've just been looking at the forum statistics, and it's enough to make me cry with joy in terms of new members joining:
15/02/04: 2
16/02/04: 1
17/02/04: 1
18/02/04: 29
Hopefully that means we can grow, and serve the community in the way we intend too.

I don't understand it. :(
I think being in English language, we'll reach a wider base of people.

FedoraNews is where I found this place. It's a quality site.
If you're looking for more places to annouce, maybe on the #fedora IRC channel on freenode.net.

Jman,
I've been pondering this. I may ask one of the ops if they'd generously announce us in the topic for #fedora..

I've yet to frequent the IRC network. I have a nasty feeling that "Ug" is already registered... :(

Nope, I think it isn't. So feel free to hop aboard and claim that one. NickServ will tell you if it is anywho..

Well, the FAQ is linked in the topic of #fedora, and soon the FAQ will list this fine place as "Forum", so that should help. :-) Also, I'm close with the #fedora folks, and I can probably get us linked in the /topic if it doesn't cause too much topic bloat. (We already have the world's longest topic in the channel. :D )

That'd be great. Ug and I previously tried, but were told there wasn't any more room in /topic. Heh, should have guessed that!

Rejection isn't a good thing.

I think it might be best if #fedora channel folk find the Forum through the FAQ anyhow -- since then they will have read the FAQ first.
