Winmodem : Error code 2 and 8 ??

hi...

I installed everything, i mean for the winmodem but when i tried to activate my connection.

I got these two error codes at a different time.

connection exited with error code 2
connection exited with error code 8

what's the 2 and 8 error codes mean?

when i ran wvdial..

i got these errors

warning : section [Dialer Defaults] does not exists in wvdial.conf
intializing modem
sending ATZ
ATZ
ok
modem initialized
configuration does not specify a valid phone number
configuration does not specify a valid login name
configuration does not specify a valid password

I really dont understand the last 3 errors, i did specify them

open /etc/wvdial.conf and enter your isp phone number , login and password for the connection.

I checked /etc/wvdial.conf and all the details are entered ...I have no idea what they want
