Hello,
for the last week, I have been trying to get my Fedora 4 to recognise my onboard Soundmax card to use for any sound.
The only way (at the beginning) was using the Fedora Sound System which worked in mono without recognising the card.
Now, after few times I tried to install the linux drivers found on the asus website, I don't get any sound even the the System sound enabled since I get always the same error " device /dev/dsp can't be opened".
Can ANYBODY PLEASE help from the first to the last step of this installation ?
The only thing I know is that the alsa drivers show as installed...
Thanks,
Emilio.
