I have been either a i386 user or x86_64 user for a long time. I was thinking of buying a powerbook or ibook and using fedora on it. I have been using fedora on dells for the longest time with no problems. Can anyone give me some pros/cons of switching to ppc from i386? Thanks.

I switched from a Dell PowerEdge server running FC2 to a mini running FC4.

The only problem I had was with the X during the install (it didn't like my LCD, but worked fine on a regular monitor). That and it runs the mini's fan 24x7, but I guess it did that with my Dell, too.

When I SSH into it I can't tell any difference between the two platform.
