Okay, so I have alsa going and everything sounds great except for my TV-card. I get good picture on my TV-card, but the line-in on my soundcard won't carry the TV's sound. THere is sound coming from the TV-card, I've hooked speakers up to it and verified that. When my overall volume is high,I can faintly hear the TV's audio, so tehre is some line-in activity going on. I've checked the volume setting for the line-in and all that, it behaves totally normally. When the tv-software is not enabled it's muted, when the tv-software comes up it unmutes it and sets it to the volume it expects. And of course in this configuration it works in windows just fine, so this is a software problem in linux.
I tried: amixer set Line 50% unmute captur
With no success, so I am at the end of my understanding of sound configuration.
