I downloaded the DVD iso and burned it. I went into BIOS options and set my computer to boot using CD. I then put the DVD in my dvd drive and boot up the computer. I successfully get the linux installation prompt and hit enter for the graphical installation. I specify english, us keyboard, and then I get the following prompt.

My regular cd rom drive opens. Why doesn't it notice that it started the installation from the other drive which is the dvd drive. I went into BIOS and chose the regular cd-rom drive and turned it off by switching from Auto to None. I then rebooted and it didn't show the cd-rom in POST anymore. Installation came up, and I still got the prompt and somehow, my regular cd-rom drive opened again. Can anyone help? Thanks.

I've got the exact same problem. I first tried using the 4 disks, but it doesn't recognise the cd in the tray. I then tried the dvd disk and got the same result.

Frustrated, I loaded up virtual pc 2004, and captured the iso image as a drive, and got exactly the same result. No disk found.

I found out the problem. When I began the download, I had left my computer for several hours. I came back and the download was finished so I burned it. I inserted the DVD into the DVD-rom and began the install. I then encountered the error which I stated in my original post. I then looked at the size if the iso file, and it was only 2GB. Apparently, the iso finished downloading prematurely. I re-downlnoaded the file, made sure it was the correct size, re-burned it, and the install went fine.

I've just downloaded 2 other dvd isos from different location, using bittorrent and getright (download manager) and all have failed. Could you post the link that you used please.
