just for the sake of comparison can some people post their bogomips ratings and processor model?

is it correct to assume that Bogomips is directly related to Mhz (cpu clock speed) and having a 64bit processor has absolutely no effect upon it??

Calibrating delay loop... 3538.94 BogoMIPS (lpj=1769472)

The official description what bogomips is all about is here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BogoMips

BogoMips (from "bogus" and MIPS) are an unscientific measurement of CPU speed made by the Linux kernel when it boots, to calibrate an internal busy-loop. An oft-quoted definition of the term is "the number of million times per second a processor can do absolutely nothing".

I think it doesn't matter if the processor does nothing in 32 or 64 bit

Btw, for your comparisons: my 3000 Athlon 64 has 3588.09 bogomips
