I have an ECS Desknote A700(Via Samuel 1G, 128M mem, 14.1" LCD), downloaded ISO already, and prepare to install fedora from harddisk.
When the installation program displays [code:1]Starting /sbin/loader[/code:1], the screens goes blank. I guess that's something related with refresh rate, cuz I have the same problem with X under debian(and without any problem after changing to a correct vertical refresh rate).

I boot again with "text nofb"option , and it starts the text version of sloader, after choosing the directory of the ISO image, It displays the following information(may not be exact):
[code:1]
Running anaconda ....
Probing for video card: Sis630
Probing for monitor: Unknown
...
Graphical installer is not available, starting text mode instead....
Install exited abnormally.
....
(Note: the text installer doesn't start either)
.....
Now you can reboot your system safely.
[/code:1]
The problem is really anoyying ... What should I do now?

Thanks in adv.

yours,
dinglei

by the way, i tried to switch to the console with Alt-F2 at the time it displays "running anaconda", and found that the ISO image isn't on the mounted list. perhaps there's something todo with this problem?
