I have an old AMD K6 350 Mhz board, 196 MB RAM, and an old Trident vid card (forgive me, I don't have the exact model), and 6 GB HD. I tried several different Linux distros, including a couple live CD's, and I have installed FC4, the installation seems to go just fine, however when it finally boots, I get a garbled image on the screen (I can see the mouse moving around and I can tell I'm on the login page). My question is:
How can I select which video card driver Fedora uses before it actually boots? How can I exit X window manager and get to a cmd prompt once it boots into the GUI?
TIA,
BHall
