Hi,
Thanks in advance for even taking the time to read this. Having said that, let me get to the point.
The Release Notes state booting issues with Sony Vaio laptops, which I indeed ran into - The fix, however, brings me up to the point where anaconda cannot detect my CDROM (old DVD in this case) device for installation, select a driver, blah. I tried ide1=0x180,0x386 (< gets me to dialog) and ide2=0x180,0x386 (< crashes before inst. method dialog) with the pci=off argument.
I'm running out of ideas, and greatly appeciate any help provided.
EDIT: I do see the drive being detected upon boot as hda3 unless I'm seeing things (flashes by quickly)
