That's a great way to do things. To simulate the environment for the average computer aka Windows-bound user. On the lighter side of things, make sure she hasn't forsaken her love for you. ;)

Very close. I would say all it needs is an XP clone theme, but Bluecurve is nice.

i think the avarage user wouldn't notice any difference

I would use kbfx for a more realistic Start button, but in this case the user was informed they'd be using a different OS, so it's irrelevant.
