pyRadar is a Python/pyGTK program that retrieves and displays radar images from the NOAA's NEXRAD radar stations, that are located around the United States and its territories.
Changes in this version include:
Looping now loads the last 10 radar images as soon as looping is enabled. Showing a full loop almost instantaneously.
The loop has been increased to 10 frames from the previous 4 frames.
Loop speed has been increased to 1 second a frame.
Last settings file format changed for compatability between -bc and standard branches.
Fixed an error in -bc branch that prevented the last config from being saved.
Screenshots and downloads (sorry, no RPMs yet - one day, when things calm down, I will sit down and learn how to make a RPM. If anyone is interested in maintaining a RPM of pyRadar please contact me here or at the address at the bottom of the post.) available at:
http://pyradar.sf.net
If you have trouble using 0.3 because of Python or pyGTK dependencies try 0.3-bc, it should support versions of Python older than 2.4.x and versions of pyGTK+ older than 2.6.x
Comments and questions are welcome. Either leave them here, on the projects Sourceforge forums, or email me at: pyradar__at__gmail__dot__com.
