I just installed Fedora core 1 hoping that it would run as well as RH8 did but after installed it with the mouse and keyboard working fine when X starts the mouse and keyboard don't work. It's the same case when I booted up the installer again. The mouse just still and the keyboard's lights kept flashing. Does anyone know why this is happening? Thanks.

Flashing keyboard LEDs indicate a "kernel panic". This means the kernel has suffered a fatal (mostly internal) error from which it is not able to recover.
What type of hardware do you have? (including keyboard and mouse)

Try switching the usb mouse for a straight serial mouse. Leave the usb perifs out during the next startup and it may get you back to X.

I got it working now. I reinstalled RH8 and just updated fedora over it. (Instead of doing a fresh install.)
