Hello everyone.
I was wondering- I am using FC3 and I want to upgrade to FC4. How is that done
by not deleting my files etc? Is it a "simple" way or do i need all the ISO's, burn it
and install them? I'm thankful for all replies.
Stian.

I took the upgrade option on the FC4 installation CD. The few problems that I did encounter were limited to kernel bugs that have been repaired with subsequent kernel upgrades.
My test boxes that are running FC4 are running on par with older FC3 boxes, but have lots of newer tools to play with. Just make sure to move up to the latest kernel version before trying anything out after you install FC4.

Thanks for your help people.
I've sucsessfully updated my FC3 to FC4, and I got just one more
issue to bother you with. I've noticed when i were going to update the
nvidia kernel module that livna.org repository got a 404 error.
http://livna.cat.pdx.edu/fedora/4/i386/RPMS.stable/repodata/repomd.xml: [Errno 4] IOError: HTTP Error 404: Date: Tue, 02 Aug 2005 09:14:38 GMT
is there anywere else i can get this rpm from?

Backup to http://livna.cat.pdx.edu/fedora/4/i386 and try from there.

Can the YUM upgrade method be used on a dual boot system (WinXP/FC3) or do I need to use ISOs for that scenario?
