Hi,
I am running FC4 on a Acer TravelMate. The modem worked fine in FC3 and I compiled the necessary modules for it which worked. Unfortunately the modem is now recogniesed as a second sound card. This implies that it is bussy when I try to actiate the respective slmodem-modules.
Can anyone tell me how I unrecognise it. It is an Intel chip: The message is:
Intel 82801 Db-ICH4
0. Intel 82801DB-ICH4 wish CS4299 at 0xe0100c00, IRQ 10
1. Modem at 0x2400, IRQ 10
The sound system (alsa emulation) workes fine.
I have had both things running in FC3 so I am sure they will in FC4. The data above was from systeminformation in KDE.
Any suggestions?
Thanks for your help.
