suspend help Sony s460

okay, I am pretty sure that I'm currently sol :( but i thought i would ask. I cant seem to get my system to come out of suspend, the screen just stays blank,

I have tried acpi_sleep=s3_bios, but have had not luck, any ideas, any place i can go for help, anything at all?

does anyone know a command that will turn off, then turn on the lcd of my computer? I at least want to see if my system crashes or it just the screen (if only I am that lucky) i know that the screen turns of after if you set it up to in the x screensaver??
