I installed a 2nd hard drive in my FC2 box, I am going to install FC4 on that and then migrate settings, etc over from the FC2 drive. When I install it...where should I put grub? Should it go on the new drive, or leave it as is on the old or reinstall it on the old? Thanks.

Where is grub installed now (on 1st or 2nd hd)? I'd say install it on your 2nd hd with FC4. But if your upgrading install and grub is already on the 1st, you probably will have to upgrade to FC4 and keep grub on the 1st hd. What is on your 1st hd anyway (I'm guessing Windows)?

No, I do not have Windows at all! On my first drive, I have FC2 only and grub is installed there. I want to install FC4 on the new drive and once I get it all set up the way I want it, to do away with FC2. I figure that since I am going to use FC4 exclusively, I should install it there, but I want to be able to still boot to FC2.

That's going to be a little weird... I think your best bet is to install the grub to the mbr of 2nd hd (FC4), but you would have to change your bios to boot from the 2nd hd first. I'm not sure how the automatic install of grub will go though since you still want to boot to FC2 until you've got FC4 configured... I don't know if the installer will like you having FC2 on one drive and FC4 on another drive... make sure you go to custom install and manually set up partitions with druid and you will have to go to the advanced intall option when you get to installing grub.
