Another noob question. fc3 recognized my Hauppauge pvr-150 once but I can't get it or fc4 to recognize it again. it does not show up in hardware browser either.

For the PVR-150 you need to install ivtv drivers. The easiest way I know to get them is by adding ATrpms to your yum.conf (it has to be their "testing" repository so that you get the newer version of ivtv that supports the pvr-150) and then yum install ivtv. you can also use ATrpms to install the mother of all PVR programs, the mythtv suite. You can find a great howto on pvr cards and mythtv on fedora from this website http://wilsonet.com/mythtv/ although, I'm not sure if fedora core 4 is supported just yet, but i have a mythtv box with a PVR-150 running fedora core 3 set up according to that guide and it works beautifully
