I need to replace my keyboard as the buttons are too stiff. I've been looking at the Logietch Lx-501 which has a lots of 'gimicky' features... This isn't a cheap £9.99 keyboard so if I get it I want it to all work...

I guess it'll work OK as a basic 102 key keyboard and mouse my concerns would be:
getting scrolling mouse to scroll ... I know others have scrolling mice working
getting the "quick keys" (launch internet, launch email etc, volume etc) to work... ...lots of keyboards have these type of buttons... ...can they be made to work in linux?
would the scrolling wheel on the keyboard (like a wheel on the mouse) work?
It is only listed as win and mac compat.

Anyone got experience of doing this either with the Lx-501 or any othr simillar keyboards?

TIA

Calum

I have an LX-500...mouse scroll works fine...the volume controls work...and the media keys...only some of the "extra" keys work...you will have to set these up manually on Desktop--->Preferences--->Keyboard Shortcuts on FC4

keyboard scroll works...i haven't really experimented much...may be possible to get the other unrecognized keys to work too
