I have an NVIDIA geeforce mx4 4000 and the highest resolution I can run is 600x800. XCDROAST will not run in this resolution and I updated the driver from NVIDIA. Still nothing. Any help would be appreciated.

P.S. I am super new to fedora. Runninc FC4 AMD64.

It would help if you would post your xorg.conf file and Xorg.0.log file...
I suspect it is an incorrect setting relating to your monitor.
What kind of monitor do you have?

Yeah sounds like your xorg.conf file, or maby the drivers didnt install right.

Check out http://stanton-finley.net/fedora_core_4_installation_notes.html Tells you how to configure your monitor and set up drivers.

You can test if your GPU is working with glxgears, you should be getting something over 500 i think

But its a lil older then mine heh and i wansnt to sure, most people seem to get about 250 when they dont have the drivers set up, so thats just to test

Just install the nvidia drivers from rpm first, read http://rpm.livna.org/configuration.html#Core4

Follow instructions, then do:

yum install nvidia-glx kernel-module-nvidia-`uname -r`
