Hello all,
I am very interested in switching from ubuntu to fedora core 4 and want to buy a new computer. I like the idea of a laptop because I am giong to be writting a book, and having the convienence of taking my laptop around with me sounds great. The only question I had for now is iti safe to leave a laptop running for say 12-15 hours straight if plugged in to a wall outlet, or will it overheat.
I have not decided if I will be buying a refurbished laptop or a new Acer laptops or not, my needs are simple. I will be surfing, listning to music, and watching videos on it.

Thank you,
David

Have had FC3 and FC4 running on both my HP nx9005 and my new Sony Vaio VGN-S3HP (Inc SATA Drive, Bluetooth, Centrino and Geforce 6200) with no problems. Very simple to setup and most help can be found online.
