Hi,
Mine is a Intel 845G chipset with 64Mb Video RAM.
I have had problems with Fedora Core2, the problem persists with Core3 as well.
It DOES recognize mine as a 845 chip, but only 16bit with 640x480 is supported. I have done my bit of homework by modifying the xorg.conf. I even tried installing the latest i915 driver (against the i810 driver that's bundled in Core3. do not confuse the i915 driver form 915 chipset. it's just the latest driver for i8xx intel video chips) from the Intel website. But the xinit fails saying it could not find the i915 driver even though I installed the rpm package.
Earlier I had RedHat 9, which worked fine ...! What's wrong with Fedora?
F1 F1 F1 .....!
Thanks in Advance,
Sumanth
