i have just installed fedora, and i am new to linux.
i have a D-link router set up to automatically assign IP using dhcp. my winxp computer connects perfectly.
the fedora computer doesnt. i have 2 NIC cards, and onboard one and a us robotics r8169 i installed.
the computer detects eth0 as the onboard one, but when i try to activate it, it fails b/c of no link present. (my cables are tested and good). i think it mnight not be linux comaptible, but im not sure.
the second NIC card doesnt show up in the network hardware. it came with an installation disc, with a linux folder, but i am unsure on how to install it. please help. if any more information would be helpful, ask and ill post it.
