Can someone give me a brief rundown of the changes from FC3 (including all hypothetical update packages as of June 12th) to FC4? I'm going to download and install it tomorrow when it's released anyway, but what can I expect / should I look for? Thanks.

Most of those not so important.
KDE 3.4 was avaliable for FC3, and there is a lot of exitement over GNOME.
But the new thing is GCC 4.0!
I don't know why, but this latest version of GCC is causing all round problems. It has been blacklisted for miscompiling KDE applications. According to redhat, the problem has been rectified:
https://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-test-list/2005-May/msg00961.html
but it is still causing problems. Just look all over this forum.
I'd suggest waiting a while before upgrading if you have volatile data

well most of that stuff doesnt sound too revolutionary.
Here's more info on what I consider the most relevant changes (I realize now I could have found this on my own but I was lazy / needed an excuse to post on this wonderful forum):
Gnome 2.8:
http://gnome.org/start/2.10/notes/rnwhatsnew.html
GCC 4.0:

On a side note, I just discovered this site today: Linux From Scratch Documentation
http://lfs.osuosl.org/lfs/news.html
I try to keep 4 computers running: winxp power computer, linux desktop (current fedora), server (debian, slackware or fedora -gui) and a testing computer. Looks like I'll be building a fresh linux with that documentation on the testing box.
