FC4 test ISO has been detecting my ATIMach VGA chipset as CDOMHE something, now
KDE/GNOME finds it hard to be displayed in X mode.

I finally get into the X when I chose Last Session option during login prompt ,
choosing GNOME/KDE wont bring me to X, and does not shows any error as well.
I have to go to terminal mode and kill X to restart it back to login prompt. And whenever
I chose Last Session option, I onlu got 800/640 resolution maximum.

During boot, it shows the my VGA chipset is non ATIMach64 but CDOMHE something chipsets.

FC1/FC2/FC3 detects my chipsets right as ATIMach64 and display GNOME/KDE X correctly.
Hope this will be included in the final release modification.

Additional server info.
Compaq Proliant DL360 G2 series, 512 MB, 2 SCSI, 1MB swap
ATI Mach64 VGA chipset, Compaq TFT5015 monitor

for additional info.
While FC3 detected my VGA chipsets correctly, I tried upgrading FC3 to FC4 from CD, it detects the chipset as CDOHME and KDE/GNOME X wont start and show anything fom screen. I need to force to terminal mode and kill X so I can get back to login prompt to choose which sessions from list.

I tried fresh install of FC4 test, the same VGA chipsets misdetection is showing.

wish to include it with FC4 final as all my linux servers have the same chipsets. :(

im sorry, i have to correct myself.

FC4 test release detected my chipset as

Serverworks CNB20HE

and not as ATI Mach64 ...

takes like 30 to 45 minutes to load GNOME/KDE X in Last Session mode when logging in.

:( hope this can still be included to final FC4 final
