Hello,
once in a while I'll be browsing with FireFox and all of the suddne my connection because "deactivated". So then I have to deactivate my connection with the modem, reset teh modem, active the connection with modem, and active DSL connection. It's been doing a lot lately. I have firewall enabled, and I'm using FC3. Any suggestions?

Looks like a call to your ISP (internet service provider) may be in order.

Browse to your modem ip, log in, maybe it has a internal diagnostic feature. Perhaps that info could provide you with some helpful hints.

It has been my experience that whenever you connect DSL directly to a pc you will have those frequent disconnects. If you can afford this try to to purchase a broadband router and put it between your pc and the dsl modem. I have very few disconnects when I have this scenario, otherwise call your ISP and complain. By the way in my opinion DSL SUCKS. Then only thing good about DSL is the price. :D

going to the modem may be a good idea--log in there and look for a place that says "lease time" or something similar--set it to infinite time if that choice is there--or at least a day or so..

Better check your config, I am using dsl for a year now. Only had 1 "unannounced" downtime of 1,5 hours 3 weeks ago. Beside that I never had any disconnects whatsoever, with multi systems connected 24/7.
