Hello,
have bought and loaded Fedora Core 3 (FC3). It loads successfully except after the reboot, when it asks if I want the option to install extra CDs. I want to do this, however it is at this point the trouble starts. I insert the CD of choice, click OK, and get an error message that the software "cannot detect a CD-ROM".
If I just cancel out of this extra install and click forward, everything goes along normally.
When I finally get to the KDE desktop and double-click on the CD-ROM icon, I get a message to the effect "cannot find /mnt/cdrom in /etc/fstab" and another place.
If I right click on the desktop icon and attempt to mount the device, the same message appears. However, if I double-click on my HOME icon, then DEVICES, I can see the files on the CD-ROM disc, and proceed as normal.
There may be a problem with AUTORUN as well.
Has anyone else seen this problem? If so, I'd be most grateful if you'd please help me out?
