NETGEAR FA311 on RedHat 9

Hi! I installed RedHat 9 but I can't get on the Internet because RedHat does
not set up my NIC card (Netgear FA311) properly? Could anyone help? Thank

is BestBuy still open?

I bought a handful of 311s and they work on windows but will only work
about half the time for me on several different versions of Linux.

I ended up getting another NIC.

I think it uses the "tulip" module but groups.google.com should answer
that for you.

I had similar problems with a 411. I got a linksys card at CompUSA for
$29.95, and it's been working perfectly.

I just plugged it in and booted, RH9 recognized it, and I was on the
LAN. (I had already set up networking with the FA411, but it was quite
flaky)

I don't remember what problem I had with them exactly. I still have
them, I may try one out later this week. They just wouldn't config and
come up as eth0. But they would work sometimes for no reason.

The FA311 uses the natsemi driver. Picked up okay during install.
