Hi,

I have a Linux installed on a partition of my NoteBook and on other i have Microsoft WXP.

I boot normally my Linux or i can boot it using VMWare. The problem is:

- I need to detect my video card so i can specify wich "/etc/XF86Config" to use or rename the configuration for the specific video card.

Are you talking about getting a Linux gui to detect your video card? Or are you just asking how to find a human-readable description of your video card? There is probably a slick way to do this in XP, but in Win2000, it always amuses me to use the Windows debug command as described in
http://www.computerhope.com/rdebug.htm
(See the section on video card. You can get a terminal in Windows by using "run" and entering "cmd" as the program to run.)
